This article was inspired by a recent visit to the Lake District in Cumbria where my husband and I stayed in one of the beautiful Lake District cottages on offer here. We have stayed in all kinds of holiday cottages over the years but always keep a fond and special place in our hearts when renting cottages in the lake district as this is where my husband and I first met.
