Bude is a popular, welcoming, seaside resort within the north of Cornwall encompassed by several beautiful seashores, with superb waves for surfers. You will find extraordinary cliffs which offer interesting walks along the 600+ mile Cornwall coastal route and are generally perfect to cycle along. At Summerleaze seaside there’s a sea h2o pool and a play region for children, there is also “Life”s a Beach”, that is open in the evenings in addition to throughout the day. and a seaside store. At Crooklets beach, there is a cafe, skate park, car parking, and also the Bude Existence Saving Club can also be situated right here. Upton, Widemouth Bay and Black Rock to the south, and Northcott and Sandymouth to the north, are further beaches close to Bude, with over five miles of sandy shores at low tide together. Widemouth may be the local surf nirvana, and appears out towards Lundy Island and 3000 miles of Atlantic Ocean!

Bude also offers a canal, which runs alongside the river Neet for any stretch. It was built in 1823 and was originally used for carrying sand to Launceston, 20 miles away. These days, the canal reaches inland a few miles, and is used for enjoyment boating, or fishing. The local adventure centre also employ the canal for kayaking. Carrying out a recent regeneration undertaking, the canal offers a delightful walking area, and a bird hide overlooking the marshland reserve is really a short way across the route. The canal wharf has also been redeveloped and now offers a selection of workshop fashion retail outlets, cafes and ice-cream vendors, fishing, open air seating and parking.
There is a splendid club right in the centre of Bude, surrounded by numerous eating places and pubs. There’s also a leisure centre which houses a swimming pool and cafe. There’s a sports activities centre, with a gymnasium and squash court. Of course, Bude also has a crazy course, tennis courts, crown green bowling and a multitude of other activity bases, including indoor bowling and a children”s activity play centre.
