Despite what you may have heard, there could be HUGE pitfalls for Buyers who aren’t represented by their own BUYER’S Agent. Please keep in mind listing agents are already working for the SELLER for the properties they have listed.
The Listing Agent’s goal is typically to get you to buy the house they have listed as that’s in the best interest of the SELLER they already represent. Having your own BUYER’s Agent means they are motivated to find you the perfect property in the perfect neighbourhood no matter how long that takes.
If you see ANY property a Listing Agent has that is of interest, CONTACT ME FIRST to represent you as your BUYER’s Agent as you want someone who can negotiate on your behalf, and that’s not really possible under Multiple Representation.
